On 9-11 March 2021, a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe was held, where another decision was made on the status of Ukraine’s execution of judgments in the cases of Zhovner, Ivanov, Burmych and Others v. Ukraine.
The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, among other things, called on the Ukrainian authorities to take decisive actions to address the important issue of non-implementation without further delay by adopting a comprehensive package of legislative and institutional reforms to address all the root causes that were identified and set out in the National Strategy, and by allocating sufficient funding.
To achieve this goal, they called on the Ukrainian authorities to co-operate with the Council of Europe and other international partners, in particular the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, and the European Union.
The next meeting is scheduled for September 2021.
