Effective interaction mechanisms between the banking system and public authorities, including justice authorities, have been discussed during the meeting. The round table meeting has been attended by the Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Gia Getsadze.

The Deputy Minister of Justice informed about reforms, implemented by the Ministry of Justice, including registration sector reforms, which provide transfer of registration functions to banks, notaries and local governments. At the moment bills, which provide demonopolization of registration services, are under consideration in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Reforming the State enforcement service has been additionally discussed during the meeting. Gia Getsadze emphasized that priorities of this reformation is public enforcement officers’ motivation by percentage remuneration for every enforced judgment, as well as introduction of the private enforcement service, in order for our citizens to have a choice between state and private enforcement officers. Most of the Ministry of Justice reforms directly concern the banking sector. Online declaration is one of them. Natural persons’ identification in order to fill in online declaration can take place using the BankID service. Gia Getsadze emphasized that implementation of this reform should encourage banks to provide BankID services to Ukrainian citizens for more successful cooperation at “state – citizen – bank” level.
